Miscreants involve in damaging shrine held

Buner: Pir Baba police after hectic efforts have traced the blind case of desecration of the holy shrine of Akhund Baba in Beshonai and arrested four miscreants allegedly involved.
All of the arrested are young boys namely Gul Nazar, Wazir Muhammad, Noor Alam and Naamat of the nearby village Dokada.
According to police sources the alleged miscreant have confessed of their crime under section 161 of the Cr.P.C and the accused confirmed it before the media men in the presence of locals during press briefing.
Briefing local media men here in police station Pir Baba, DSP cirlce-Mohammad Pervez Khan told newsmen that a night before Eid-ul-Azha some miscreatns were burnt some clothes used to cover the grave in the shrine in front of the main door.
‘‘It (clothe) was 300-year ancient worthy of Rs 250,000,’’ he added.
The DSP further informed that on the complaint of one-Amin who is among the grand sons series of the spiritual leader-Akhund Baba, had reported the incident and case against unknown accused was registered.
Sensing the severity of the issue and unrest among the concerned quarters the DPO-Waqif Khan assigned the task to DSP circle-Pervez who along with the SHO Pir Baba-Saifur Rehman and investigation officer-Balizar Khan started investigation on modern technique and finally traced the accused.
Case against them registered under sections297,436 and 427/34 of the PPC and produced them before local magistrate to get two days physical remand for further interrogation.
The DSP expected some more disclosures during interrogation and promised that the media will be properly informed all of the developments.
The alleged accused before police and press have stated that they were inspired by the provocative speeches of the ulemas during sermons that visiting shrines and praying there for fulfilling needs was infidelity [Shirk] that was the reason they decided to commit the crime.
Meanwhile the committee that was formed by the quarter concerned to follow the case against the miscreants has expressed satisfaction in the arrest of the involved persons and appreciated police for its efficiency that avert any expected clash between the rival religious organizations and locals over the issue.
