Media to get modern facilities at Buner F.P. Report BUNER:The district coordination Officer [DCO] Syed Mujeebur Rehman, has assured local media of modern facilities for better
performance their professional duties. These views he expressed while addressing a function in the press club at Daggar on
Wednesday. The function was arranged in connection with handing over lakhs worth modern equipments, furniture to the press
club by planning and development (P&D) department NWFP in collaboration with Malakand Development Programme (MDP). On
the occasion opening ceremony of boundary wall around Dr.Qadeer Khan Colony Daggar, financed by the same department also included.
The chairman press club-Muhibul Haq, ex chairman-Zahir Shah and general secretary represented media men. The DCO in his address
praised rapid services of the project for construction boundary wall around the most important Colony where in the key offices
and residences of high rank officers included circuit house, district council hall are situated. The DCO further said that
protection of the colony was a must in the present prevailing situation of the region. He extended thanks to the officers
of the programme to make sure early its construction to best protects the Colony. He hoped the officers living in the Colony
would perform their duties with satisfaction. The DCO eulogized services of local media men who are performing their duties
in unfavorable circumstances with inadequate facilites. He repeated the media is considered fourth pillar of the state and
the media men are the true representative and interpreters of masses that leads the government to fulfill its obligations.
He hoped that the local media men would further accelerate their efforts to highlight problems and difficulties of the locals
to address on time, he concluded.

Rebels’ supply depot at Elam Ghar traced, one arrested Abid Bunery BUNER: Pir Baba police on Saturday traced a supply depot of militants at Shoprang, close to Elum Ghar recovering 150 dynamites
and explosive devices and arrested brother of wanted supplier while the main character escaped taking the advantage of darkness.According
to district police officer Abdur Rashed Khan the police have traced arms, immunitions and food supply depot of militants,
situated at Elum Ghar. The owner of the house, Sher Afzal, son of Kokanay, is involved in dumping, supplying arms, ammunitions
and food stuff to the militants at Elum Ghar. He said that after authentic information, a raiding party, headed by SI Roshan
Khan of police station Pir Baba, was assigned the task to arrest him. The DPO said when the polie party raided the house at
mid night, the main character managed to escape from the scene taking advantage of the darkness while his brother Asghar was
arrested. On the identification of the arrested Asghar, 150 dynamites, one bundle of primacart, four number of 50 kilograms
weight capacity cylinders to be used as local made bomb for heavy devastation, one bag fertilizer nitrate to be used for erupting
fire in local made bomb, two packets of matches besides arms and ammunitions.
The DPO told media men that it was a victory for law enforcement agencies and a serious blow to militancy as their main supply
depot has been dismantled and it would definitely affect the militants at Elum Ghar.
